During the worst part of the pandemic, we all read news stories about how hospitals had to rely on staffing agencies in order to ensure adequate staff. Not sure if all of us were aware just how much the hospitals had to pay (as in some ICU nurses commanding $10,000 a week). Missouri and other states have now proposed legislation against the agencies that raise their prices during a declared emergency.
