An important breakthrough in the world of TBIs – the discovery of a whole new layer of brain anatomy called the Subarachnoid Lymphatic- Like Membrane or SLYM. This layer is tissue that helps to protect the grey and white matter; tears in the SLYM can help explain some of the long term symptoms/ consequences of traumatic brain injuries.
